INTRODUCTORY WORKSHOP: BIOINFORMATICS AND GENOMICS

Have you heard about new sequencing technologies and wondered if they might be applicable to your research? Are you interested in doing some genetic/gene expression work, but not quite sure how to proceed or what is involved? If so, this free, half-day introductory workshop is for you.

It provides an overview of the new sequencing technologies now available in New Zealand and the computational analysis that may be required when dealing with the resulting biological data.

The workshop is for researchers with little or no knowledge of genomics and/or bioinformatics. It is suitable for all levels – from postgraduates to professors.

While the content of the workshop will vary between locations – depending on the feedback from the pre-workshop surveys – the following is an outine of what you can expect:
